We’re looking for someone who loves a fast-paced environment and is an expert operator, no matter the circumstances. You love getting sh*t done, you’re a whizz with numbers, and you want to build something great.

You will play a central role in helping to shape the future of Josef, making sure that our team has everything they need to continue their rapid global expansion.

Specifically, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and iteration of key operational policies and processes within Josef. The role is a broad one, and we want you to help us define it. The key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial operations
  • scaling Josef’s ops and processes globally; and
  • Employee experience.

Other areas of responsibility may include strategy, information security, compliance and legal.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and streamline business processes that keep Josef running smoothly,
    and play a key role in the development of Josef’s Ops team
  • Lead the development and management of Josef’s fin ops processes and procedures
  • Support employees to ensure Josef is the best place to work, including recruitment, onboarding, employee experience and professional development
  • Help us to build a knowledge management system to support Josef team members to be able to access information and solve problems
  • Be a key contributor in the development of a strong and positive culture at Josef

At Josef, this is the problem we spend every day trying to fix. We do this through our beautifully designed no-code automation platform, empowering lawyers to transform the way they work.

Our customers include some of the biggest law firms in the world, small suburban firms, in-house lawyers at multinational corporations, and legal aid and community organisations.

Our ideal candidate

An experienced Fin Ops/Operations guru who lives and breathes efficiency and process.

  • 4+ years experience in a similar Fin Ops or Ops position
  • Demonstrated experience developing and successfully implementing new processes across teams and/or organisations
  • You’re a whiz with numbers, and feel confident managing financial ops
  • You’re an effective communicator internally and externally
  • You have a passion and curiosity for finding opportunities to continuously improve Josef and the drive to ensure effective implementation, change management and adoption
  • You value relationships, and know how to build strong professional relationships
  • You’re a keen problem solver, and know how to get things done
  • You have a desire to work autonomously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing start-up environment
  • You have a hunger for knowledge and a keen appetite to learn
  • You have an open mind and a desire to bring your authentic self to work every day
  • Experience in a startup desirable but not required
  • HR experience desirable but not required
