#1 Candy saved days automating IP work
Earlier in her career, while working at a law firm, Candy realized the potential of automated tools straight away.
After translating her team’s intellectual property workflows and processes into automated tools, what previously took two days was whittled down to just 20 minutes.
“It saved us a lot of time and actually made us a lot of money,” Candy explains.
#2 Checklist tools make compliance easy
“Regulations are changing constantly,” Candy says.
“Every week there’s an update from a law firm or the regulators themselves saying we’re making these changes and this is coming up.”
At L’Oreal, to help the marketing team comply with greenwashing regulations, Candy’s built a quick checklist tool on Josef. The goal? An empowered team and easier compliance! But what happens when regulations change again?
Candy explains, “You can update the tools in real time. You’re not sitting there waiting around. You can just jump in and make the change. The whole process takes a day tops if that.”
#3 It pays to share regulatory knowledge
“Us lawyers have a lot of experience in law, what with our education, training, practice, and so on,” Candy says.
Navigating regulations as a non-lawyer can be “really tricky”, Candy adds. Based on her experience, simple compliance tools help bridge the gap.
She explains, “If you’re constantly seeing areas that are misunderstood, you can safeguard non-lawyers in your business, protect yourselves, and help people feel less stressed about their own jobs as well.”
