Josef and Xakia partner to streamline legal matters

Josef, a game-changing no-code legal automation platform that empowers lawyers to save time and scale their services, has announced an integration with Xakia, a seriously simple legal matter management platform. Through the partnership, in-house lawyers can now build digital tools to automate complex legal tasks, and connect those tools with their core matter management platform.

Recognising that one size doesn’t fit all, the two companies share a commitment to create “plug and play” integrations that simplify how in-house lawyers build digital tools and automate workflows, and gives them more flexibility to do it the way they want. The connection provides a powerful solution to automate time-consuming processes and tasks for legal professionals.

Founded by lawyers Tom Dreyfus and Sam Flynn and engineer Kirill Kliavin, Josef was built to transform the delivery of legal services and content.

“Both of our platforms prioritise beautiful, simple user experiences, which makes this partnership a natural fit,” said Josef CEO Tom Dreyfus. “We share a commitment to making it better and easier for in-house legal teams to do their work. This integration enables the seamless flow of information between Josef and Xakia, which means less double-handling and re-keying of data, and more time for in-house lawyers to spend on high value work.”

Xakia Founder and Group CEO Jodie Baker said she is excited to expand Xakia’s online legal hub with another critical LegalTech integration for legal departments.

“For in-house lawyers, the Xakia + Josef solution ensures the receipt, review and resolution of all legal work – automated or assisted – is collated into a single view and provides powerful analytics to inform future resourcing decisions. With legal departments focused on automation and legal data analytics, this combination provides a magic formula for ‘simple yet powerful’ solutions.”

“This also reflects a growing trend in legaltech, where early adopters are moving beyond their first technology tool to maximise productivity. This maturing of the market is really exciting to see, and requires the ecosystem to deliver intelligent and out-of-the-box integrations that are quick, easy and cost-effective to set up – no IT degree needed! This is where projects like Xakia-Josef are an important contribution to legaltech maturity.”

Michael Bates, Head of Legal for Sonder, a leading organisational wellbeing and safety company is one such client who jumped at the opportunity to connect Josef and Xakia.

“Intake is a massive challenge for any in-house team to manage. There are competing priorities and shifting deadlines. Leading a small but high performing legal team I wanted to explore every avenue to automate or simplify our processes and tasks. With the connection between Josef and Xakia we were able to build an intake bot using Josef and seamlessly send the information gathered to Xakia to create a matter. As a result we’ve easily saved hours of manual effort not to mention created a much more intelligent process that can scale to meet the needs of Sonder now and in the future.”
